What Hurts Most Speakers the Most

Most speakers aim too low. They want to "just get through the speech." They want to "survive without getting embarrassed."

Crazy. We wouldn't want to live that way, so why do we try to speak that way?

Who wants to live barely above the failure threshold? Life calls for excellence and extraordinary success. It demands that we offer the highest value based on the highest good. By taking that same standard and applying it to speaking we don't survive - we thrive.
